Vans Old Skool Pro BMX Shoes
Designed in collaboration with Dennis Enarson, these Vans Old Skool Pro BMX Shoes have been constructed using a sturdy Wafflecup technique for improved performance and durability. The olive tone uppers are made from smooth leather whilst contrasting off white side stripes add signature branding and match the contrasting top stitching seen across the top vamp, uppers, laces border and heel. Sitting on top of the shaped tongue, the lace up fastening works to keep the fit firmly in place when active with metal eyelets at the top for a secure finish. The ankle collar is padded for comfort and support whilst below on the outer side stripe a small woven label presents signature Vans branding. An additional layer of leather curves around the back of the heel to protect a key abrasion area and within the shoe a soft fabric lining runs throughout. DURACAP reinforced rubber underlays have been added underfoot for longevity alongside a PopCush insole for impact protection. Completing the design and adding an iconic touch, the outsole features an original Waffle tread pattern; a detail that Vans is famous for.
First opening their doors in 1966, Vans was founded by brothers Paul and Jim Van Doren and was originally known as the Van Doren Rubber company. Famous for a distinctive casual aesthetic and for creating shoes that proved particularly popular during the height of skate popularity during the ‘70s, Vans have continued to be one of the leading brands for durable, performanced based footwear, alongside their more fashion-driven styles. Often featuring print patterns, graphics and colourways, collaborations have included brands such as The Simpsons, National Geographic, Vivienne Westwood and an array of the brands own team riders.
